Dorothea “Dorothy” Millanaire is the protagonist of the Webtoon “The Tyrant Wants to be Good” which is also known as “The Tyrant Wants to Live Honestly”. She is currently in her second chance at life, in which she is aiming to be good in, as in her past life she was a cruel tyrant.
Appearance
Dorothea is a female with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Dorothea has pale skin and is often seen wearing long skirts. Dorothea is not often seen smiling, due to flashbacks from her past life, her father or Raymond annoying her. Dorothy has bangs which hang longer on her left. Dorothy also has no visible birthmarks, scars or impurities on her skin, although she breaks her arm.
A Second Change at Life
This take follows the life of Dorothy Millanaire-in her second chance at life. In her original life, she did many horrible crimes, like killing her brother, forcing a man to marry her, killing that man’s love. After years of tyranny, she was killed in her own dungeon, but this was after many innocent people died (Stefan, Raymond, Julia, Theon). In her new life, however, she is aiming to be good and kind, as she remembers her past and is constantly haunted by it. She even has a list of good deeds to do, and has a “good deed of the day”. It’s safe to say she’s aiming to be different in her new chance at life.
Relationships
Raymond “Ray” Millanaire (Brother)
Ray is Dorothy’s brother. Ray is shown to be quite fond of Dorothy, while in turn Dorothy finds Ray an annoying child. In Dorothy’s past life, she killed Ray and usurped the throne, because of her jealousy of Ray having all the attention from their father.
Karnon Millanaire (Father)
Karnon is Dorothy’s father. They have a mutual relationship of hate. Karnon hates Dorothy because of her mother’s death and because she’s not the crown princess. Dorothy, in turn, hates Karnon because he ignores her and despises her, blaming other people’s actions on her.
Theon Freede (Friend/Love Interest/Past Husband)
Theon Freede is Dorothy’s husband in her past life, who she forced to marry her. He later, committed suicide, due to Dorothy killing his true love, Julia. However, in Dorothy’s new life, he is her friend and a possible love interest. When Ethan is talking to Dorothy in Episode 17, he is shown having some jealous traits, such as scowling at Ethan when he takes Dorothy away. It is shown that Dorothy returns his feelings.
Ethan Bronte (Friend/Love Interest/Right Hand Man/Servant)
Ethan Bronte is part of the prestigious Bronte family. It is implied that he likes Dorothea, with him admitting it to her. He also liked her in her last life. He was the man of everyone’s dream, but only had eyes for Dorothy, who neglected his feelings for her. In her new life, however, she’s paying more attention to him and taking care of him. He and Dorothy are currently friends.
Julia Delevine (Acquaintance)
In Dorothy’s past life, she killed Julia because of a stupid reason - Theon loved Julia instead of her. She still dislikes Julia in her current life, ur is learning to respect that Theon can like Julia if he wants to, and that Julia didn’t do anything wrong.
Stefan Greenwall (Knight/Soldier/Friend)
Stefan is the knight protecting Dorothea. In her last life, however, she killed him after admitting she wanted to duel him. Now, they have a close bond, Stefan constantly protecting her and letting her have more options, choices and freedom in life.
Clara (Servant/Maid/Friend)
Clara is Dorthea’s servant at her new home. Clara does many things to make sure Dorothy is comfortable and having fun, such as constantly checking up on her, helping her with good deeds, and planning surprises for her to see her smile.
